Open events will be held over six consecutive weekends from June 18 to July 25 for juniors, collegiate players, and adults
Palo Alto, CA - The 2022 schedule for the ITA Tennis-Point Summer Circuit powered by Universal Tennis has been announced with 63 events culminating in a National Summer Championships.
Events will be held over six consecutive weekends, beginning on June 18 and continuing through July 25. The ITA Tennis-Point National Summer Championships will be held at Florida State University from August 11-16. Eligible winners of the National Summer Championship will receive wild cards into the 2022 ITA Men’s and Women’s All American Championships in the fall.
The partnership between the ITA and Universal Tennis was first launched in the summer of 2018, and seven Circuits have been held so far. Events are categorized as “open,” which means there are no age or level restrictions, and players from high-level juniors to adults are eligible to compete.
The summer 2022 events will provide great opportunities for players to strengthen their UTR Ratings and take part in competitive match play during the summer. At the conclusion of the Summer Circuit, the Top 5 men and Top 5 women will receive automatic entry into the National Summer Championships by Universal Tennis, which includes travel reimbursement.
Tournament registration will begin on May 17 on the Universal Tennis platform. Every player must be an ITA player member to enter. ITA membership costs $35 and will be available for purchase in May, permitting players to compete in all ITA Tour events between May 3, 2022, to April 30, 2023.

About the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA)
Originally founded in 1956 by the legendary UCLA men’s tennis coach, J. D. Morgan, the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) is the governing body of college tennis, overseeing men’s and women’s varsity tennis at all levels – NCAA Divisions I, II and III, NAIA and Junior/Community College.
