The New York partnership will bring Universal Tennis’ High School solutions to significantly improve the player and coach experience

(Palo Alto, CA) - Universal Tennis and the New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA) announce a multi-year partnership aimed at upgrading tennis for the over 20,000 high school players and coaches.

The partnership with NYSPHSAA, the third-largest high school athletic association in terms of tennis participation, comes following Universal Tennis’ partnership earlier this year with the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS).

Universal Tennis for High Schools allows all players to have their scores count towards their Verified UTR Rating. With UTR Rating being the gold standard of college recruitment, this partnership opens more opportunities for student-athletes. Players will also be able to use the College Fit features of the technology platform to see where they rank in rosters across more than 900 U.S. collegiate teams.

For coaches, utilizing Universal Tennis’ free High School products allow tournaments to be seeded effectively and accurately based on objective UTR Ratings. Coaches also compare teams and reduce “stacking” with the ultimate goal of a great experience for their players. If coaches are interested in running events throughout the year and receiving deeper analytics on their programs, Performance High School provides everything they need.

"We are very proud to be partnering with NYSPHSAA, the third-largest association in high school tennis,” said Anne Worcester, President of Universal Tennis. High School tennis continues to be a major focus for Universal Tennis and we look forward to working with NYSPHSAA as well as all state high school associations."

"This partnership is an important step for us to continue the growth of tennis in our state,” said Dr. Robert Zayas, NYSPHSAA Executive Director. “Universal Tennis provides us a platform to promote high school tennis, utilize new technologies they have developed for the sport, and efficiently record results of every tennis athlete in New York so that we can properly seed players in Sectionals and State Tournaments."
