Universal Tennis Reveals Fall 2023 College Circuits Schedule

Universal Tennis has revealed its fall 2023 College Circuits schedule, with more than 50 open, prize-money events set to take place on college campuses across the U.S. from late August-December.

Last year, Universal Tennis launched College Circuits to provide year-round competitive opportunities for college tennis players, competitive adults, and top junior players, quickly gaining popularity.

The events this fall will be hosted by universities and colleges across the U.S., including Duke, Yale, Northwestern, Baylor, and many more.

To date, over 140 College Circuits have provided opportunities for nearly 6,000 players to play competitive matches and compete for prize money. Since the fall of 2022, $42,800 in prize money has been awarded.

“Universal Tennis College Circuits have added valuable match play and prize money to the college ecosystem,” said Chase Hodges, 15-time NAIA national champion and Vice President of Universal Tennis. “We’re proud to work with college campuses to host players all over the country.”

Universal Tennis College Circuits are “open” events, meaning that anyone can play. Players are accepted based on their UTR Rating, and there are no age restrictions.

The events offer prize money based on a tier system, which encourages players to register as early as possible to increase the amount of prize money and the overall level of the event. Prize money is guaranteed only if the number of registered players meets the prize money tier qualifications below.

Prize Money Breakdown:
Tier 4: 128+ Players = $2,500
Tier 3: 96-127 Players = $2,000
Tier 2: 64-95 Players = $1,500
Tier 1: 32-63 Players = $1,000

Players are encouraged to sign up early to boost the tier of the event with no risk, thanks to a refund policy that allows players to withdraw before the event’s registration deadline.

College Circuits are just one of the many initiatives Universal Tennis operates in support of college tennis. In May, Universal Tennis hosted the first NIT Championship for college tennis.
